With each project that BinaryWebs takes on the capabilities of the internet is pushed further. We like to highlight our latest web developments and our newest and most exciting
project is one that we undertook for a new venture called ThinkBowl.
For this project we built a Blog framework using PHP that would not only allow people to add comments to their own page but also to create communities with different themes and also add links to other people through friendships.
The ideas and principles behind it are similar to Facebook but the theme is purely business and this had to be reflected in the way that we structured the website. A capability for adding RSS News Feeds to your personal space and also being able to see what the popular feeds are was essential. A hot topics feature we built into the website was also necessary so that users could tap into what is hot in the business world.
The business model of the website centres around giving users a free social network for entrepreneurs and also generating revenue through advertising. The main advertising is through Google Advertising and Amazon Affiliates which we had to integrate into visible sections of the columns. Static pages like the how to become a Entrepreneur were also a special requirement that needed building into the framework.
Mark Basset who is the founder of ThinkBowl is running an advertising campaign that he hopes to attract 10,000 people in the first 6 months.
